The chemiopreventive treatment with meltonin and resveratrol could slow down the development of Acute Pancreatitis
The chemiopreventive treatment with meltonin and resveratrol could slow down the development of Acute Pancreatitis, according to Cristina Carrasco thesis, a member of the Neuroinmunophisiology hrononutrition research group of the Extremadura University (UEX).
As it was observed by the Extremadura University, the thesis deals with the chemipreventive effect, before the illness develops, these two natural antioxidants in a sperimental model of Acute Pancreatitis, according to its author, can help those people who are predisposed or already have the illness.
Melatonin and resveratrol can be found in many different kind of vegetables as grape and peanut in the case of resveratrol or cherry and coffè as it concerns melatonin.
The Acute Pancretitis is a inflammatory chracterized illness without any efficient treatment, so the integration with antioxidant is contemplated as an alternative strategy. It highlights that Pancreatitis in the most part of the cases isn't that dangerous, even if a little percentage can have complications and become a pathology causing in some extreme cases the death of the patient because of the local and systemic complications.
